Water Wise Landscape Classes - FREE 

Colorado Springs Utilities offers a series of classes throughout the summer at the Mesa Road Conservation and Environmental Center (see directions below) to help customers learn how to establish and maintain water wise landscapes. They are already well into the 2019 class schedule.  All classes are FREE and open to to public.  Reservations are not required but seating is limited and first come, first served.  

A brief description of the remaining 2019 class offerings follows. More detailed information is available here (if you find these images difficult to read, simply "click" anywhere on the page to magnify it.)

Tour of Tough Plants: Wed, Jul 17, 5-6 PM. Class will show you what water wise plants look like in their mature form, point out solutions to common landscape challenges, and highlight eye-catching plant combinations. Tours will highlight plants in bloom.

Directions to the Mesa Road Conservation and Environmental Center: 
  • From Centennial Boulevard, take 30th Street to the first left past Garden of the Gods Road (but not at the turn just past the gas station!)  The Center is approximately 1.5 miles on the left (look for the TALL flower artworks at the entrance).

  • From Interstate 25, take the Fillmore Street exit and proceed west to Mesa Road. Turn north (right) on Mesa Road and the Center will be approximately 1/2 mile on the right (look for the TALL flower artworks at the entrance).
